The cultural and sports events organized by BBMKU

BBMKU stands for Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, a public university located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. The university was established in 2017 and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, commerce, science, engineering and management.

One of the main objectives of the university is to promote the holistic development of its students by providing them with opportunities to participate in various cultural and sports events. - Youth Festival: This is an annual event that celebrates the creativity and diversity of the youth. The festival includes competitions in music, dance, drama, literature, fine arts and quiz. The winners of these competitions represent the university at the inter-university level.

- Sports Meet: This is another annual event that encourages the students to engage in physical activities and sportsmanship. The meet includes events such as athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, cricket, football, kabaddi, kho-kho, table tennis and volleyball. The winners of these events are awarded medals and certificates.

- Cultural Week: This is a week-long event that showcases the rich cultural heritage of India. The week includes various programs such as folk dance, folk music, folk art, classical dance, classical music, and classical art and regional cuisine. The students also get to learn about the history and significance of these cultural forms from experts and practitioners.

- Alumni Meet: This is a biennial event that brings together the alumni of the university with the current students and faculty. The meet provides a platform for the alumni to share their experiences and achievements with the younger generation and to offer them guidance and mentorship. The meeting also helps to strengthen the bond between the alumni and the university.

- National Service Scheme (NSS): This is a voluntary service program that aims to develop the social responsibility and civic awareness of the students. The program involves various activities such as blood donation camps, health camps, cleanliness drives, plantation drives, literacy campaigns and social awareness campaigns. The students who complete 120 hours of service in a year are awarded with certificates and badges.
